He is married to Bonnie LaVerne (Swenke), they have two children, Gregory James Peters and Ronda (Mrs. Chris) Falkensten, and six grandchildren: Jordan, Isabella Peters, Logan, Kadin, Ethan Falkensten, and Samuel Luke Peters.
