Biographical Information

PERSONAL:

Inman was born on October 2, 1978 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Raised in Del City, Inman graduated first in his class from Del City High School in 1997. He then graduated summa cum laude in 2001 from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a Spanish minor. In 2004, Inman received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Oklahoma School Of Law.
Inman practiced law in downtown Oklahoma City until his election to the state legislature in November of 2006. Upon his election, Inman became the first graduate of Del City High School to ever represent the community at the state capitol.
In 2009, Inman was elected by his caucus to serve as House Democratic Leader. At 32, he became the youngest person in state history to lead a caucus in either the House or Senate. He was reelected to his second term as Democratic Leader in May of 2011.
Inman has been recognized for his legislative accomplishments by the Oklahoma Public Employees Association. In 2010, he received the OPEA Legislator of the Year Award. In 2012, OPEA again honored Inman with a Special Recognition Award for his work that session. He was also honored with the 2012 Outstanding Speaker Award by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He continues his active participation in the community as a past President of the Del City Rotary, a member of the Del City Chamber of Commerce, an Executive Board Member of the Oklahoma Parkinson Foundation, an Executive Board Member for the Oklahoma Bar Association’s High School Mock Trial Program, a Board Member of the DelQuest Student Leadership Program and a member of the 2010 Tinker Air Force Base COMMSTAR Program.
Inman married his high school sweetheart, the former Dessa Baker, in 2006. The couple has two children, Ella Grace, born in July of 2008 and Sophia Claire, born in July of 2011.
