PERSONAL:

James Lockhart resides in Heavener, Oklahoma. His family operates a cow/calf operation. He and his wife (Carrie) have two children; Hope, age 10, and Jakob, age 3. He has his B.S. in Business Management and an Associates of Science in Biology and Zoology. He has worked on several scientific research projects including alternative energy. He has an Oklahoma Teaching Certificate and is certified to teach business and economics. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Heavener, Poteau Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge, LeFlore County Cattlemens Association and is a cardholder in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. He was also a team leader at the World Trade Center Recovery Effort in 2001 and in 2002.
