Biographical Information
PERSONAL:

Cory was born and raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Stillwater High School in 1996 and met his wife, Shannon (Jacobson).

He and Shannon both attended Oklahoma State University and were active student leaders. Cory completed his B.S. in political science with an emphasis in applied politics in 2001 and an M.S. in international trade and development from the OSU School of International Studies in 2003.

While in graduate school, Cory was awarded the Boeing Company Fellowship to work overseas with American Airlines. He completed his law degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2006. Shannon completed her degree in dentistry at the OU Health Sciences Center in 2005.

Cory and Shannon returned to Stillwater in 2006 to raise their two sons, Kase and Canton, in the community they love. Shannon is a dentist at Ocean Dental and Cory has been operating his own law firm since moving back to Stillwater.

Cory is an active leader in Stillwater’s community. He and some business partners have been largely responsible for the ongoing renaissance and redevelopment of downtown Stillwater, where Cory is committed to expanding the residential, business, and cultural offerings available to its residents.

On November 4, 2008, Cory was elected to serve the citizens of House District 34 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He currently serves as Assistant Minority Whip and Vice Chair of the Tax Credit and Economic Incentive Oversight Committee.
