McDaniel is a fourth-generation Oklahoman. He received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Land Economy from Cambridge University, England. McDaniel is a First Vice President of Investments at a major financial institution. He was a trust officer and investment officer at City Bank & Trust previously and also served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a field artillery officer and as an Engineer officer. He is married to Julie Elizabeth McDaniel and has two children, Grace and John Thomas.
