McDaniel was born on August 8, 1967, in Alva, Oklahoma. He received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Land Economy from Cambridge University, England. McDaniel is a First Vice President of Investments at a major financial institution. He was a trust officer and investment officer at City Bank & Trust from 1992 to 1995. He also served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a field artillery officer and then as an Engineer officer from 1988-1999. He is married to Julie Elizabeth McDaniel and has two children, Elizabeth and John Thomas.
