Duncan Praises Henry, Legislature for Safeguarding Funds for Highway Patrol Troop K Headquarters

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 20, 2009) – State Rep. Rex Duncan praised the Legislature and Gov. Brad Henry today for safeguarding previously appropriated funding for Highway Patrol Troop K Headquarters.

 

“Highway Patrol Troop K Headquarters has been the Department of Public Safety’s No. 1 building priority for several years,” Duncan, R-Sand Springs, said. “Given the current economic situation, the temptation was to redirect previously appropriated funding for bricks and mortar projects. I am pleased that no one caved into that temptation, but instead safeguarded that funding for the Highway Patrol Troop K Headquarters.”

 

The Highway Patrol Troop K Headquarters is in Perry, Okla. Troop K covers Osage, Pawnee, Kay, Noble and Payne counties.
