House of Representatives

House 2011 Redistricting Process

The Oklahoma Constitution is silent on redistricting principles for the State House, but the House has adhered to guidelines similar to the Senate’s principles in the past (5 O.C. 9A). In adhering to traditional principles, the House has adopted guidelines for its redistricting process for the past few decades. The 2011 House Redistricting Committee adopted the following guidelines to be used when redrawing district boundaries for State House and Congressional Districts. The Committee also adopted Committee Rules to help govern the committee’s process.

Below is a compilation of Oklahoma redistricting law from the state Constitution and Statutes.
