Legislative Deadlines

The First Regular Session of the 61st Oklahoma Legislature shall adhere to the following procedure schedule: 

December 4, 2026 - Bill Request Deadline 

January 5, 2027, 12:00 NOON – Organizational Day

January 14, 2027, No Later Than 4:00 p.m. - Bill Introduction Deadline

February 1, 2027, 12:00 NOON - First Day of the First Regular Session of the 61st Legislature

March 25, 2027 - Third Reading Deadline for a Bill or Joint Resolution in the House of Origin

May 6, 2027 - Third Reading Deadline for a Bill or Joint Resolution for Opposite the House of Origin 

May 28, 2027, Not Later Than 5:00 p.m. - Sine Die Adjournment

*Please note that when conference has been requested for a Senate bill, the principal House author will be notified by the Clerk's Office.

*Please note that only House Bills and House Joint Resolutions fall under these requests and filing deadline dates. House Concurrent Resolutions and House Resolutions may be requested and filed at any time until Sine Die Adjournment of the Regular Session.

Note: "Measure(s)" refers to bills and joint resolutions. Upon a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership of both houses, a measure can be exempt from all cutoff dates in both houses.
