STATEMENT: Archer, Kelley Mourn Loss of Four El Reno Teens
Rep. Nick Archer, R-Elk City, and Rep. Mike Kelley, R-Yukon, released the following statement after four teenagers, including two 2026 El Reno High School graduates, were killed after a driver going the wrong way struck their vehicle on May 22.
"We are devastated by the tragic crash near El Reno that claimed the lives of these four young Oklahomans. These young people had their entire lives ahead of them, and their futures were stolen in an instant.
"If reports of impaired driving are confirmed, this tragedy serves as another painful reminder that drunk driving is entirely preventable. No one should have to answer a phone call only to learn that their child is never coming home because someone made a reckless decision to drive under the influence.
"Our prayers are with their families, friends, classmates and the entire community as they mourn this unimaginable loss."
